Lita Ann Giovagnoli-Felkowski, 57 of Duryea, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on
December 1.
Born and raised in Pittston Township, Lita was the daughter of the late Leo and Anita (Bartolai)
Giovagnoli. While attending and later graduating from Seton Catholic High School in 1985, she
was also enrolled in JerryTone Beauty School earning certification in Cosmetology. She then
attended Luzerne County Community College completing certification in Phlebotomy Studies.
For over 35 years, Lita was employed by the Wilkes-Barre VA Medical Center, first working in
Phlebotomy then soon thereafter completing certification in the discipline of Ophthalmology
Studies where she held the position as Ophthalmology Technician.
Lita enjoyed the cooking and baking of her mother’s many recipes, listening to the Allman
Brothers Band, and watching Richard Gere movies. She enjoyed going out with her family and
friends to listen to bands and have a few laughs. Her love and compassion for animals was life
long and truly admirable. She was a fan of the 1970’s sitcoms, especially recalling the times
watching Hogan's Heroes with her father. Lita took great pleasure in embracing her Italian
heritage.
Lita found peace and purpose in serving the Lord through caring for others in need.
She leaves behind her husband Scot, children Scot, Jr., Aftin, and Bobby, her brother Leo
Giovagnoli and his wife Lisa, NY, faithful companion her dog Brody, numerous nieces, nephews,
cousins, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 6 from 11am-1pm at the Independent Bible Church
of Duryea, 328 Main St., Duryea, where she was a member. A service will follow in the church
at 1pm. Those wishing to make memorial contributions in Lita’s name may do so to the local
SPCA.
