Shavertown
Judith A. (Shoemaker) Gribble, 80 of Shavertown, died on August 7, 2023 at Sacred Heart Hospice, Dunmore, after her courageous battle with cancer. Judith was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania on October 8, 1942 to the late Edwin and Marion Shoemaker. She graduated Westmoreland High School in 1960 and was employed by Penn Millers Insurance Company until retirement. She was a member of Shavertown United Methodist Church and belonged to the Priscilla Circle. Also preceding her in death was her sister, Sue Elaine Shoemaker.
Surviving are her husband, Frederick F. Gribble, of 58 years, her daughters, Sharon Mudlock and husband, Frank, Jennifer Dent and husband, John, as well as sister, Susan Jane Shoemaker. Grandchildren, Stephanie Lombardo and husband, Bernie, Brittany Mudlock, and Victoria Dent and great grandson, Luca Joseph Lombardo and her beloved dog Muffin.
The family would like to thank the care provided by the staff of Wesley Village and Sacred Heart Hospice.
A blessing service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, August 11 at Mamary-Durkin Funeral & Cremation Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre. Viewing will be from 9:30am until time of service.
